Geometry in Blue Silk Shawl
This gorgeous shawl is bringing two legends of natural dyeing together: Indigo and Shibori. The technique called Shibori, is based on creating a resist on the fabric in different forms which results in different patterns. In this piece I folded the fabric at a certain way, attached rectangular blocks for resist and then dipped into Indigo dye bath. That is how these lovely geometric patterns and shades have been achieved on this unique shawl.
This is an eco-friendly shawl and contains no harmful chemicals. This scarf is the result of a slow production consisting of four stages and it takes at least a minimum of 4 days to prepare it.
